Make sure that the electrical power supply to the machine is switched off and water supply is secured, before starting to fix the problem.

My washing machine is not working

Check if there is proper water supply to the machine, or if the power supply cable is not unplugged. Besides this, it may not work because of an overloaded motor causing a safety shut down.
This can be fixed by pressing "Reset" button on the control panel. Faulty water pump, timer switch, lid switch, or off-balance switch also causes the machine to stop working. In that case, these switches need to be checked and replaced, if necessary. If there is a problem in the motor binding, you need to get it repaired by a service engineer.

Fuse of my washing machine blows

Fuse-blowing problems may occur due to a faulty motor, for which you must take professional help. Excessive use of detergent can result in a blown fuse. So, reduce the use of detergent.
An overloaded machine or a faulty overload motor protector also causes the same problem, for which you need to either minimize the load or may have to replace the load protector.

My washing machine 'vibrates' or 'shakes' too much

Excessive shaking can be a result of improperly placed machine. A washing machine should be kept in level with the surface of the floor.
A faulty tub, loose tub bolts, or an unbalanced tub will also cause a machine to vibrate excessively. Damaged cross brace or loose support can result in vibrations; in such a case, you will need professional help to fix it.

There is a water leakage in my washing machine

Water from a washing machine leaks, because of loose bolts, loose connections, or pump impellers. In such cases, you need to check and tighten all the bolts, pump impellers, or connections, because of which the water is leaking.
Check for defective lid seal, defective fill tub, defect in the pump gasket, and replace them, if necessary. If faulty hose connections are the cause of the water leakage, they should be replaced at the earliest.

My washing machine tub fills at wrong cycle

If your washing machine tub fills at wrong cycle, get the water level switch checked by a professional and have it replaced, if it is found defective. Other factors which can cause this problem are the water level solenoid valves.
You can check it on your own and get it replaced, if it is not working. Check and clean the pump valve regularly. Sometimes, it malfunctions because of the water and other depositions and causes the tub to fill at wrong cycle.
