Residue and minerals may cause stains on your fabric. The soleplate gets soiled after a few months, so it's best to clean it.
An easy method to clean soleplate:
  • Baking salt
  • White vinegar
  • Clean cloth

Removing melted plastic from iron:

  • White vinegar

Let it cool down. Now, take a shallow container and add a few ice cubes in it. Put the plastic-deposit part inside the container. Wait for 5-15 minutes until the plastic deposit gets hardened. If some plastic has melted onto your iron, unplug it.

Baking Soda Method:
Rubbing it removes the rust and deposits from the plate. Add a teaspoon of baking soda over a damp cloth and scrub the surface. Toothpaste:
